Code of the Woosters 1A

Code of the Woosters--PG Wodehouse
was referred by E Lockhart (Jenkins) last read (Frankie Landeau-Banks)
took a lot of work and research to reconstruct 1030s London.
Suprises: of PGW--mocking of the German dictator via Swope.
Spin offs of mocking war during the interwar: see Veterans of Future Wars (Princeton) college pranks.

grammar ESL: the shortening of words--dropping -tion and leaving tsh....
(reverse mirrored in E Lockhart grammar dropping prefixes)

pp 286 slow going due to number of characters, complexity of plot/motivation/and antique idioms. Just a weaving and unweaving. Some dashing spirits. some truth of PREP: the possibility that hidden knowledge, secrets, may be revealed. That someone's stiffness will be tricked into opening up. But always a trick...here much dealmaking. negotiating with threats though. Secrets held and threat of secrets revealed. Eulalie!!!

also: What is the code of the woosters?
what is the attraction of the book? (obscure british allusions, including Manor as character, and CLUE like plots?)
what is the context? Total institution of Aunts and buffoons? (no senior intact marriages, actually) Marriage as a motive. "Psychology of the individual"....

possible uses: Clue-themed course? (too light?, or okay for summer diversion)

Direputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks 1

Finished The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks.
ESL grammar: de-prefixing.
ESL collegiate subculture1: pranking and Vassar
ESL US sociology1: glass ceiling: see BooknotesTV Sept 7 08: Judith Neis and autobio of 1960s and woman's libbers during the '60s--link in to Vassar 1969 co-ed.
ESL subculture2:RETURN: sociology1 at PA.

somewhat contrived: taking pranks from prank sites and reversing grammar omissions from PG Wodehouse. I like Prep so much better!

Damn Finding Fifth Chakra Voice is Wierd and also RISKY business

No wonder you don't get to develop your voice until the first four chakras are there, the foundation, to support the risk of speaking out!

I have to defend my request to have a one-on-one with a client? What? the one who didn't want to take lessons. The one for whom I made a scholarship available because the owner/coordinator wanted to provide a charity case. Yes, this is charity and it is PAINFUL and it is requiring me to be CONFRONTATIONAL and BOUNDARY Managing and at the same time presenting and business like.

IT IS FULL CATASTROPHE And I am loving it because I have sucessful business relationships (my lower 3 chakras, somehow) and the passion to the art (music AND dot mac released) a 4th chakra, behind it.

Thank you Candace Pert and your worm segments. I'm all aligned, in my worminess, except getting 5th on there-voice--that is SOOOOO HARD.

So, last night in my exhaustion to be artist and business woman and emanager, and teacher of the very young (which means prone to all the flu and colds of winter every year) I fall asleep/faint/lose consciousness between exit 4 (in which I was surrounded by motorists) and the Porsche dealer at exit 5, at which I wake up to the rumble strip , facing the NJ barrier and just saying--" oh boy, here we go" and I tightened the grip and steered straight--no breaks or anything--thank god the Land Rover knows what to do "off road" cause it just sided up to the barrier and we continued on as if nothing happened--though I did have one escort car (bless the heart of that brave soul!). In my rear view mirror--all my fellow motorists had backed WAY OFF--they must have been going 40mph to my 80-90mph course of destruction.

Oh the humility--it was on MY highway in MY easily identifiable car.
I'm shocked that I didn't get stopped by the police.
Right in front of their shop, too.
It was a humiliating.

I need sleep and whatever it is artists need who dare speak the truth.
What is that, Erika Badu?
what is it that they need?

Music for the day: "Cataloop-fi>> Fantasia. " cool hiphop.

Mac view of the flow of movie making

capture image/ enhance soundtrack in garageband / select media channel

"First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination." ~Napoleon Hill from AU: Wiki: change

Birth of the Cool

Miles Davis's album title and the name of the exhibit of 1950's-60's california art and artifact comes to mind this evening in the silver gel of the man himself, looking soulfully over his horn to the camera lens. Cool, that's cool.

The fellow next to me at HOT yoga is overweight--probably just over the borderline of obese, and he is huffing and weasing thru his asanas. It is apparently his second session. He is malodorous and unattractive in costume, shape, hirsute-index, and breathing qualities. Definitely uncool. Just before the cool down, I move my mat to the other side of my friend. I can sort of sense why cool was so cool. so hep. hip. hop.

In defense of the timing of the sea change

1. first born to college, against advice, and her failure, as predicted: trust in my own instincts
2. commitment to PASS, was fun before: but commitment with Certification
3. removal of the complancy pills/along with the completion of partner's professional training
and observing an inability to hustle/anger-coaching/and results.
4. removal of complacency about child's entitlement rottenness--and more immediate gratification of experimental choices.
5. Purchase of apple--changing outlook and style quite drastically--new model of support (Apple store) means more FREEDOM too!'
6. reclaiming business-nature (MBA earned credit) and applying.
7. realization that IRA means INDIVIDUAL and taking control of this and my biz, since hub and daughter are happy to suck it out of me if I don't stop.
8. realization that my function is to babysit at one music clients house--end of that.
9. reclaiming religion--baduizm what it means to me.
10. reclaiming movement: dance and free dance and funk and fun, not just yoga discipline.
11. cvms heart free/ and erik and toni morrison.

possibilities : new the hustle

Listening to audiobook got in expansive mood after yoga (?) or teaching at CVMS: Michael Beier? on Emanager...its awesome, I listen to the three tapes over and over and over. I want to be this.

Visited APPLE , what a concept: going to the MALL to go to get EDUCATED....maybe even certified if I want to in sound engineering with Mac apps.

I love this, going to a Mall (promo the good life)..to get CERTIFIED to do the ART-enhancing work in an area of my sensual strength (listening). Passport to the Inner Quincy Jones.

I love this, seeing conflict as no big deal: getting down to the what needs to be done and (Beier-driven) who is going to OWN it, question.

Power in my going to a financial consultant ON MY OWN re IRA...individual retirement account--that's MY own, only, individual one. THough I love being married, I love being in charge of my security and future a bit too.

Style-- conversational

Hubster and I have style differences* which lead to conflict which almost lead to avoidance.
I'm finding my power chakra is a point of contention but I'm encouraged by Mary J Blidge and her live concerts to just keep speaking my truth as a human/artist. Yeah, style creates funk...creates...that isolation of taking charge when things need to get done but the old ways of getting things done have unraveled.

*"hey, I'm over here" every time my eyes ravel in thought.
NPL: its so normal...human....intellectual.....behaviour.

Seems like Narcissist dilemma: not being looked at is some sort of dissing? wow.

Living with a Narcissist--anyone? Represent? Is this what it is?

So, I take charge here and make this failure of a meeting work by directing it to a common purpose instead of a differentiating one: the Q allowance question. Who will write the memo.
And send it. And then we can reconvene.....

I need to look at some criteria for judging if we are teaching/instructing as well as limiting and conserving.

naming

Passport....is my new way of saying that I will get a short list of critical things done, by sheer focus on the Will (Chakra 3), before working on getting my funky groove back.

What is that? critical path, power of the will, funky groove?

Well, here is the thing.
I got this flu thingie and it threw off my meds soooooo bad that I had to recast my energy field totally. What with the Newton's cradle crashing in my inner sanctum of a brain when I move my eyes....and a new Leopard "os" make what was simple, a task to relearn, and what was unthought of, possible....well that's disorienting change #2.

ical is SOOO Much easier than google calendar....revolutionizing my guilt and shame--which was constant since I have no slack time and starting to miss engagements.....

and soooooo much new tech to slow me down--with google doc sharing for piano teaching, to say nothing of photobooth imovie emailing.....

and when things go wrong-- this check wasn't signed, that xerox machine (on the road) was down and it was on my critical path...

and I can't do sudoku anymore...but can't stop dancing Vh1, and crying and laughing and emoting allover..the place...its misguided will, that,, motion blocked--coming out emotion.

antidepressants are for quelling the psych ward girl interrupted....I'm convinced.
too expensive...and if you get a prolonged illness--metabolic interruption--then all bets are off that you won't go through tolerance/withdrawal anyway....

so KICKin.....

and its intense out here in the wild world of unprotected perception.

And a child out of the protected world of boarding school..its wild out there.

So that's my flow.

Harvard prof says that the new strategy for happiness is productivity. That is, effectiveness in endeavoring.

I go to work.

so I'm getting organized...its an investment if you realize its the way to being happy and content and productive and cost effective compared to the tranquilizing route.

So, I love you mesh wall folder wonderland of pigeonholes for taking care of my (reimbursed) part in the business of raising the sights of the families of about 50 kids to the gifts of mastering an 18th century invention (piano).

lordy lordy, I'd like to teach the business admin course at Father Guido Sarducci's 5 minute university. And this is it:

admin = f(Quality. Cost. Schedule)

and that's the passport to the happy (efficient?) life.

is that it?
